Trick 1: Getting iPhoto Images

You cannot directly pass iPhoto items to the CCS action. But if you add an Finder or similar filter between an iPhoto action and the CCS action, everything will work as expected.

Trick 2: Scaling images

Images are not scaled by CCS when you create a contact sheet. That means that your contact sheet can be veeeery big, if you have one of those 50 megapixel cameras and are trying to create a contact sheet of 1000 images (good luck!). But you can easily setup an workflow that creates a copy of your images and scales these images. The next images shows you how to do this. (Note: the "By Percentage" value for the scaling value is nonsense. A typical value is 10 percent.)
